Stress ManagementFor 15 years I worked at City of Bristol College running a programme called Making Choices that focused on building self-esteem and managing stress and anger. During this time I devised a wide range of techniques and exercises to counter stress and to help calm and refocus. These include some Cognitive Behavioural Techniques as well as Person-Centred materials. Many individuals benefited from this programme and I worked in liaison with Social Workers, Health Workers, Occupational Therapists, Community Support Workers, and voluntary agencies, developing sessions in the community which were very successful. Feedback from people was very positive indeed and many individuals have kept in touch, telling me of the difference this made in their lives and how it has helped them to move forward.
I can offer a wide range of techniques and exercises to identify stress triggers, patterns and bodily responses, explore coping strategies, simple ways to manage stress, and positive psychological interventions.
